Salary: Grade 4 £20,142 - £22,394 per annum (including shift allowance). Potential to progress to £24,292.

Employing over 350 staff and with an annual turnover of £30 million, ACS is responsible for providing a wide range of essential services and facilities to staff, students and visitors across the University. These include, catering and hospitality, conferences and events and accommodation.

The department split into four sections; Residential Services, Commercial Services, conferencewithUS and Central Support. Customer Services is part of the Residential Services section. The team is responsible for a variety of functions provided by the department and works closely with other sections to ensure a consistent customer care service is provided.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join our Residential Services section within ACS. You will lead a team of staff to ensure the provision of a customer focussed service to ensure the delivery of an effective advice, information and reception service for all customers. In conjunction with ACS Customer Service Manager, develop and implement robust customer care standards and procedures, ensuring coherence with departmental and University aims and objectives. You will work closely with ACS colleagues to coordinate customer care delivery and ensure that systems and processes are monitored and improved to support the objectives of the business.

You will have experience of delivering high quality customer service in a supervisory capacity. You will have the ability to build, motivate and develop a successful team and have excellent communication, written and verbal skills. The ability to own and resolve issues, deal with challenging situations effectively and a genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service are essential to this role.

The post is full-time working 38 hours per week on alternating shifts. Working pattern: various hours between 7am to 10pm, 4 days on/4 days off including weekends.
