Job Title: Retail Associate / Optical Advisor

Due to our new expansion plans and store opening schedule a great opportunity has arisen to join Optical Express as one of our Retail Sales Associates / Optical Advisors.
The Optical Advisor is the sales advisor in the store. They are customer facing and are required to sell the benefits of Glasses, Contact Lens, eye examinations and refractive procedure such as Laser Eye Surgery or Intra-Occular Lens to new or existing Optical Express patients and customers. Working to challenging but attainable targets, the Sales Advisor will follow our Company patient journey with every patient to comply with key operational procedures. Building rapport, and identifying customer needs, they will use their influencing skills to achieve a successful sale.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within a sales / Retail and/or Healthcare sector. They will have a strong working knowledge of a commercial sales environment and possess excellent customer focus skills coupled with an ability to generate sales. They will need to have robust analytical skills and be able to provide resolutions to problems that they will encounter. Our training & induction programme is designed to give you the skills and technical ability to succeed in the role, as well as keeping you fully informed on competitors, the marketplace and the key factors that will help deliver your sales.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
To do ‘three way’ handovers according to Company procedures
To acknowledge every Patient when they enter the store
To accurately maintain all manual and computerised customer records in accordance with Data Protection
To maximise conversion opportunities with the patients to our premier treatments
Maintaining an up to date knowledge on all products and associated key features and benefits
To keep accurate Patient records and to manage, engage and convert suitable patients
Influence and advise potential patients on the most suitable and appropriate solution for their needs
Work closely with other store associates to achieve overall store objectives
Administrative duties such as stock ordering & stock checking
To assist in the running of the store / Clinic, answering the telephone and general reception duties as required
To maximise sales by actively targeting potential customers out with the store or shopping centre with promotional material or other means deemed appropriate by the Store /Clinic Manager
To ensure adherence to all company policy / procedure and relevant legislation in all areas of work
A general understanding of the specific sector in which you hope to operate and the challenges faced by professionals
A passion or interest for Glasses / Contact Lenses or refractive surgery
Enthusiastic and willingness to learn
A hands-on and customer-centric approach
Ability to forge strong relationships in a commercial environment
Determination to succeed and overall career ambition
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Will be Self-motivated, enthusiastic and well presented, professional with a strong customer service focus and great commercial awareness.
Good working knowledge of financial aspects of selling

An articulate and presentable candidate is essential
Fluent English language skills are essential, (IELTS grade 6 or above)
Good experience of Microsoft office and outlook
Excellent telephone manner
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to negotiate quotations & influence outcomes
Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and discretion
In addition you may have had experience in the following roles: Optical Advisor, Retail Associate, Medical Sales, Retail Management, Customer Services, Telesales, Junior Management roles, Team Leader, Supervisor, Sales Representative, retail sales, pharmacy sales roles.
