Jagex Ltd, the UKs leading independent Online Games Studio, is looking for a highly motivated and talented graphic designer to join their large graphics department.
The role will involve supporting this highly creative team in the production of icons, sprites and 2D graphics for our newly announced Sci-Fi MMO: Stellar Dawn.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE
Creation of new, high quality interface elements and icons
Icon creation and manipulation at pixel level
Creation of marketing assets in collaboration with the concept artists from the team
Following direction, briefs and concept design/development procedures
Communicating with our dedicated development and graphics teams
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience of graphic design and pixel art
Understanding of interface design, tiling, icon optimization and compression techniques
Ability to demonstrate creative concepts and take art direction
Experience of quality control, including a keen eye for detail in all areas of development
Energetic, enthusiastic, self motivated with a strong work ethic and a high level of initiative
A keen gamer with an understanding of what makes games fun
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Experience of working on completed game products. Modding experience also accepted
Art and Design or equivalent degree
Interest and experience of RPGs and MMORPGs
SALARY
