To act as the first point of contact for all HR matters arising within Head Office. The job-holder will be expected to resolve the majority of issues, referring only complex or sensitive issues to the Director of Human Resources.
To ensure that basic HR administration processes are in place within Head Office and are of a sufficiently high standard to allow the smooth running of the charity. This includes, but is not limited to, the upkeep of staff files (manual and electronic information systems), pay processing, recording of training needs, reference checking etc.
To undertake relevant checks to applicant and employee documentation for all care homes, e.g. health questionnaires.
To monitor sickness absence within Head Office in liaison with payroll department and ensure that appropriate action is taken in line with the Charities policy.
Co-ordinate all recruitment activity in Head Office to allow a professional and consistent image of the Charity to be portrayed to all potential candidates.
Assist Managers and other senior staff in dealing with grievances and disciplinary cases, providing advice and, where appropriate, training to ensure these issues are dealt with professionally.
Take the lead on some HR project work where necessary ensuring that the HR Business Partners are kept informed of the status of projects.
To act as the communications champion for Head Office by attending appropriate communications meetings and auditing the flow of important information.
Requirements of Candidates
