This role forms part of the EMEA Retail Sales Client Strategy team. The individual will be responsible for in-depth analysis of our product range as well the competition to deliver relevant and actionable insight and material to support the sales process. The ability to identify client trends and sales opportunities and translate them into sales initiatives is central to the role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders is important.
Detailed Retail Mutual fund flow analytics (spot trends, market share analysis, …)
Continuous Retail Product and competitor analytics (measurement off success and opportunity, areas to identify weakness and strength)
Detailed Retail “buy list” analytics (how many products do we have on how many client product platforms and where do we have the best chance to add a fund based on the risk return characteristics of our funds
Develop, based on the above, rationale to support sales campaigns and a focused attack and defense framework for our products towards Fund selectors across EMEA
Instigating and driving internal Sales campaigns and conduct reviews of their effectiveness (e.g. write firm wide launch e-mails, prepare training materials with product specialists, organize with marketing internal sales competitions)
Gatekeeper of the fund manager roadshow plan around EMEA
Oversee monitoring and promotion of inflow momentum, as well as conducting reviews of campaign effectiveness;
Drive the development of the (internal) website to provide our “fund selection” sales team with the right documents and knowledge to efficiently sell
Drive the development of the (external) website for fund selectors to provide our clients with regular product updates of their selected products.

Extensive collaboration with Investment teams across the full range of BlackRock’s Investment businesses and strategies
Proven experience in an analytical role within a sales, marketing or investment environment.
A strong understanding of the asset management and/or wealth management market, including an appreciation of the competitor landscape is a pre-requisite
An existing knowledge of BlackRock’s range of funds would be advantageous
University degree. Preferably with a concentration in business or economics
Highly Analytical, with a high level of competence in Excel and data manipulation more generally
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Project Management skills
High levels of commercial market awareness
