Legal RTA Claims Handlers

Must have at least two years RTA experience in Fast Track

  • Acting on behalf of clients who wish to claim compensation and who have suffered injury and financial losses as a result of a road traffic accident.
  • Advising on liability and amount of compensation Generating standard and non-standard letters and documents, using IT system without secretarial staff.
  • Liaising with third party, insurers, witnesses and experts.
  • Collating evidence in support of financial losses, arranging medical reports and advising clients on the resulting compensation.
  • Dealing with claims against the MIB.
  • Submitting details of claims to third party insurers and negotiating settlement.
  • Preparing more complicated files for issue at court by in-house solicitors.
RTA Liability and/or Credit Hire Claims Handlers

  • Manage a case load of credit hire claims from inception to invoicing
  • Maintain an effective and accurate diary system to ensure that clients' expectations are maintained and claims are monitored within the appropriate company guidelines and in line with ABI GTA protocol
  • Progress claims proactively and efficiently by prioritising workload, assessing liability on an ongoing basis and using sound business judgment
  • Liaise effectively with clients, insurance companies and service providers
  • Assist with colleagues' workload at the request of management
  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic records
  • Identify personal training and development needs
  • Carry out accountabilities and objectives within the framework of the company policy and procedure
