About the role
Reporting to the Head of Events, youll lead the development, delivery and promotion of a comprehensive year-round in store marketing programme. Of course that means coming up with lots of fresh and original ideas. But it also means coordinating people and resources to make them a reality. Youll get lots of people involved - both within Selfridges and from the companies whose brands we sell. And so that plans stay on track from start to finish, your project management skills will be called into action to keep everyone up to speed. Youll also need to build great relationships with the media to make sure every event gets the best possible coverage. Then after each event, youll analyse its success and feed back to the business.
Youll need experience in managing events from conception through to delivery. Youll be adept at balancing creativity with commercial decision making. Just as important as your practical knowledge, however, will be the personal qualities you bring to the role. A confident communicator and strong leader, youll need to be highly organised with great negotiation skills, have an eye for detail and bags of get up and go.
