Responsible for meeting the financial needs of the company’s customers and maximising the shop profitability by pleasantly greeting and meeting each customer that enters the shop, inquiring as to the purpose of the visit and then initiating or concluding (without limitation) the pawn, retail sales, insurance sales, cheque cashing or loan transaction.
•Provides positive customer service which includes the friendly meeting and greeting of all customers, being helpful as to customer needs, and once determining the needs, provides the customer with a prompt service
•Completes all paperwork for each transaction according to Harvey & Thompson policies and procedures which ensures proper asset-related records and control. This documentation includes the proper use of the in-store computer system when processing all the shop’s transactions
•When administering the loan product, responsible for explaining the benefits, exclusions and costs of the insurance to the customer and completing the sales process, providing the customer with the relevant documentation from the AIS system. Adhering to Company procedures when dealing with insurance sales and ensuring any customer queries are passed to the Loan Centre.
Testing, Evaluating and Safekeeping of Pawn
•Ensures goods taken in on pawn are tested and evaluated correctly and prudently provides for the safekeeping of all company assets
Presentation of Store
•Maintains overall presentation of entire shop area and will be required to sweep, clean and dust areas as instructed.
•Performs various administrative tasks which may include accounting, inventory, pricing, signage, preparing memorandums and other miscellaneous paperwork.
