We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Senior Visual Merchandising and Store Design Manager - Europe based at out Soho Square Office.

JOB PURPOSE

To maximise sales in all distribution channels through the strategic management of Visual Merchandising across the Region.
To apply and execute the global brand visual strategy through store design and visual merchandising in the European Markets to meet specific market needs.
To provide visual direction to all channels, markets across Europe to maintain brand consistency.
To lead and develop a proactive, effective and efficient European Visual Merchandising and Store Design function.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Store Design

• Work with the Global Store Design team to design and develop in-store presentations of Bare Escentuals brands that are relevant to the channel, market and assortment.
• Project-manage the design, build and installation of new counter roll-out across the European region.
• Liaise closely with design agency and shop-fitters to ensure timely implementation within budget and to agreed standards.

Visual Merchandising

• Based on EU marketing calendar create and maintain an annual visual merchandising calendar outlining the schedule of product display updates, seasonal marketing campaigns and any other VM activities across all channels.
• Create easy-to-follow visual merchandising guidelines (tools and directives) for each channel and marketing campaign based on Global Brand direction.
• Develop and purchase all VM elements required for all EU markets including those supplied from US suppliers.
• Work with external and internal stakeholders to implement these merchandising systems and presentations.
• Work with the Global Visual Merchandising and European Marketing Services teams to ensure the latest brand imagery is available and supply to the channels and markets where required.
• Manage all new stores/environments, meet with partners in markets and attend as required the set-up of key new stores/environments.
• Work closely with the Regional Marketing Director to interpret vision and support the overall brand strategy and with Local Marketing Country leads to support each Marketing programme.
• Work with vendors to source props/fixtures, gather estimates and follow through on all projects to ensure materials are produced in a cost-effective and timely manner, always within allocated budgets.
• Create and agree working calendars and timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective rollouts of all materials (graphics and visual merchandising elements, direction).
• Communicate on a regular basis with all cross-functional business partners to ensure synergy between all job aspects.
• Coordinate each project to ensure deadlines are met
• Manage a process for maintenance of in-store fixtures.

People

• As part of the region’s Marketing team work collaboratively with the wider EU team to support business development and growth
• Lead, manage and develop the Visual Merchandising, Store Design and Graphic Design team.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL

• Experience in managing a Retail Design function (Visual Merchandising and/or prop, fixtures) at an international level
• Proficient on a Mac platform and proficient in programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office.
• Good attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and demonstration of extremely good follow through.
• Self-starter
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Works effectively with others, building productive, collaborative relationships across projects.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to produce and effectively present ideas and concepts for approval
• Communicate ideas effectively in a presentation environment
• Strong influencing and persuasion skills
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic and fast moving environment (able to cope with changing circumstances/briefs).
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to manage problems on a day to day basis.
• Works well under pressure
• Experience in leading and developing a team across the different VM disciplines
• UK Driving licence
• Willing and able to travel within the UK and Internationally

DESIRABLE

• Relevant degree in art or design related field, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in French and German
