Contract Location: Bristol (Nailsea) Contract length: 6 months Role Title: IWOCS Applications Systems Engineer Rate: up to £550p/day Contractor Role Description: Role Summary / Purpose To take clients specified work scope and respond technically, in full, formally to it, with par excellence technical solutions. The role encompasses that detailed below requiring full 'cradle to the grave' ownership. Essential Responsibilities o Full Review and Understanding of the Technical Scope, Requirements and Specifications. o Delivery Of The 'Best In Class' Technical Response To The Clients Requirements : Typically System Specification and Drawings o Creation Of A Technical Risk Register , TRL ( Tech Readiness Level ) Matrix, Gap Analysis Matrix.
o Creation of Defined Work Packages Where Specialist Support Is Required eg Communications Analysis o Conducting Systems Level Design Review for Peer Group Review and Critique. o Working with Specialist Engineers Typically Reliability, Hydraulic and Electrical Analysis to Support Solution Delivery o Working With Associated Systems Engineers Typically From EPC, Tree's and Manifolds to Support Solution Delivery. o Participation in Risk Review Committees Sanctioning the Release Of The Bid / Feed Study. o Participating In Monthly Update Meetings / Telecoms on Bid / Study o Contributing To And Reporting Progress Against Bid / Study Plan.
o Representation, Report Writing and Presentation on Subject As Required Internally and Direct to the Client Contractor Ideal/Special Experience: Qualifications / Requirements o Relevant engineering degree or suitable time in a similar role ideally including FEED study, project execution and site integration test. o PCS and WITS would be advantageous o In depth working knowledge of ISO 13628 -1,-5,-6, -7 and -8, IEC 529, 60079-20, IEC 61508. o Ability to clearly explain, present and reason technical solutions and offerings o Ability to coach, guide, support aspiring junior engineers. o Excellent presentation and written skills, enabling effective communication and listening to be achieved.
o Must be able to hold face to face 'level playing field' conversation with the technical peers o Self starter with ability to maintain motivation and momentum under all circumstances. o Team Player Nailsea is the centre of excellence for Subsea Controls.
