Barclays Corporate - Operational Re-Engineering Manager (AVP)
Barclays Corporate Bank is currently recruiting for a Assistant Vice President - Operational Re-Engineering Manager to join their team within the change and re-engineering division based at Global HQ in Canary Wharf, London.
What will the role involve?
Supporting Barclays Corporate Infrastructure in shaping the future of Corporate Banking (CB), such that the SBU achieves a step change in business performance (customer service, productivity, efficiency) and realises its strategic goals for our customers and our people.
To successfully manage and deliver end-to-end improvements to key servicing and operational processes using Project Management and process improvement techniques (e.g. Lean), working with different parts of CB as required.
To contribute to the development of target designs for key CB e2e processes, across channels, customers and people.
Support the Corporate Banking Operational Re-engineering team in providing business sponsorship and design governance responsibilities.
Support implementation and execution of re-designed/ engineered processes to BAU and follow through into post implementation measure of success
What shall be expected of you?
Contribute to the design of CB services and processes, using process improvement techniques (e.g. Lean) where possible, to encompass all CB channels, customers, staff and core activities.
Liaise with other parts of the business and stakeholders to ensure e2e designs satisfy business/customer strategy (i.e. operational effectiveness, cost efficiencies etc.) and align to CB and Group operating models as appropriate.
Identify key efficiency improvement initiatives through the evaluation of information and performance data using process improvement techniques, linking these to the improvement of the customer experience and ensuring alignment with the overall CB target operating model.
Identify key business change opportunities and gain sponsorship to initiate and undertake specific pieces of work to address issues
Working with the CB Operational Re-engineering management team, provide business sponsorship and act as design authority throughout the design and execution of the required change activity.
Influence with a wide-ranging audience across front-line, back office and central support areas to gain buy-in to design requirements and development plans.
Lead and facilitate project workshops, engaging stakeholders, subject matter experts and attendees at all levels
Manage key stakeholders across CB and the wider Group
Secure support of stakeholders/interested parties, both within CB and external, to achieve goals.
Provide Project Management capability utilizing prescribed Barclays methodologies to setup, manage and control projects throughout their full lifecycle.
Provide subject matter expertise on key components of the CB Target Operating Model (i.e. processes, channels, customers, people).
Play a key role in hand over to BAU, working with CB BAU teams to ensure acceptance into the operating model.
Collate and define high level and detailed business designs and operational requirements for key components of CB landscape.
Prioritise requirements based on strategic fit, cost, do-ability and value-at-stake, and work with the Operational Re-engineering Leader to factor into design and development plans.
What will you need?
Experience in stakeholder management at a senior level.

Understanding of and exposure to project management disciplines, frameworks and techniques.

Successful involvement in business and cultural change and the delivery of associated benefits.
Experience in business sponsorship and design governance, and of working across virtual teams to support delivery of key workstreams.
Knowledge of Corporate Bank operating and strategic processes and systems.
Project Management methodology trained / certified (e.g. Prince 2)
