Community Mental Heath Service for Children and Adolescents
Do you share our passion for improving the lives of young people?
Are you looking for an opportunity to use your professional knowledge and skills working with children, young
people and their families within a community setting? If you are confident about delivering the “emotional
health and well being agenda” you can join us as part of a new and exciting community service being created
on the Isle of Wight.
We are currently recruiting for our new expanding community CAMHS service that will improve child mental
health services by enhancing multi disciplinary partnerships across the Island, within established
professional networks. We will provide regular supervision from the established Specialist CAMHS team using
our Clinical Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and multi disciplinary team as appropriate.
This is following the evaluation by the National Workforce Development programme undertaken in 2010 that
provided an independent review and validation of the service development.
All positions offer the opportunity for professional development utilising strong links with Southampton
University and other regional organisations. The Island offers the opportunity for multiple sporting
activities combined with rural areas of outstanding natural beauty and easy commuting distance to the
mainland with good road and rail links to London and Southern England and regional airports- so life and work
on the Island is “connected”.
