Everyone’s Turning Point is unique. It’s the moment when they realise they’ve made a small, but important, step forward. Very often, that small step is the start of something bigger. But only when the right support, advice and services are in place. That’s where you come in, working as part of Rightsteps®, our highly successful and innovative IAPT/Talking Therapies delivery model.
We support people who are having difficulty in coping and who may be suffering from a common mental illness such as depression, anxiety or phobia. Our approach embeds the notion of well-being and recovery and promotes personal responsibility for lifestyle choices and self-management of mental well-being. Uniquely, the majority of our interventions and treatments are telephone-based, which means we are able to provide a highly accessible service that is both user-friendly and capable of meeting the needs of a geographically dispersed client group. The result is an incredibly stimulating career environment where you will not only have the satisfaction of making your skills available to those who need them most. You will also have access to outstanding training and career development resources within our highly supportive team.
On a day-to-day basis you will accept referrals via agreed protocols and support those people in the self-management of their recovery. You’ll also ensure that unsuitable referrals are passed on effectively to the relevant service. What’s more, it will be up to you to maintain coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols. The role will also involve weekly case management and the clinical supervision of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Trainees.
With a Diploma in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions and the relevant primary care experience, you must have worked in target driven services demonstrating clinical outcomes and have the ability to deliver low intensity interventions. With a clear understanding of IAPT, it goes without saying that you will also need outstanding telephone and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage high volumes of clients effectively within this stepped model of care.
If you’re inspired by the social model of mental health that works holistically according to need rather than diagnosis and would like to help us achieve our vision, we can offer a competitive remuneration package and excellent training and development opportunities.
You will be required to work Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
