The Team
Production is a team of creative professionals; working together to ensure the entire production process is run seamlessly. It’s incredibly diverse, built up of several departments ranging from Studio, Sample Handling, Image Editing, Copy Writing and Production itself. It’s a very busy, very exciting area to be a part of, requiring constant communication between the team, and all the other areas of the business.
ASOS work with a high caliber of freelance hair & make-up artists across our 6 e-commerce studios. We are always looking to add and develop our freelance roster and currently seek creative and committed hair & make-up artists. We work with reliable, communicable & efficient freelancers who demonstrate the ability to accurately execute briefs and can understand the needs of a high-pressured work environment, giving creative input where needed.
The Detail
The Staff Make-up Artist will be a key member of our hair and make-up facility providing Make-up for studio shoots and guidance for freelance make-up artists. Key to this position is maintaining a strong brand identity through make-up across all our studio shoots. Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Full understanding of ASOS customer and target audience
Work with specific breifs and where necessary take direction from our senior artists.
Awareness of latest and upcoming hair & make-up trends
To be aware of current celebrity style/fads/trends
Keep abreast of and translate creative changes with minimal disruption to shoot process
Work with studio team to acheive the specific creative look and feel of shots
Upkeep and maintenance of allocated inhouse kit.

Some key skills that you need...
The Staff Make-up Artist must have varied previous experience creating looks for both male and female model shots. You will be a creative visionary with a strong eye for detail. A working knowledge of hair is also an advantage. You must be flexible, eager to take on new responsibilities and grow within the company and keen to assist team members within the Production team and the wider business as required. The role requires someone energetic, enthusiastic and positive with great communication skills. Ambition and desire to work in a fast paced company is essential.
