THE COMPANY:
WE ARE A VERY WELL ESTABLISHED UK MANUFACTURER WITH OVER 40 YEARS TRADING HISTORY. WE SUPPLY OUR PRODUCTS TO RETAIL & TRADE CUSTOMER ACROSS THE UK.
WE SUPPLY HIGH STREET NAMES SUCH AS B&Q, HOMEBASE & ARGOS AS WELL AS HUNDREDS OF INDEPENDENT RETAILERS & TRADE CUSTOMERS.
WE HAVE RECENTLY PROMOTED SEVERAL MEMBERS OF OUR TEAM WHICH HAS CREATED AN IMMEDIATE OPENING IN SCOTLAND.
WE TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN OUR REPUTATION & SEEK APPLICANTS THAT CAN CONTINUE TO UPHOLD THE STANDARDS WE SET.
THE ROLE:
THE SUCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL TAKE OVER AN EXISTING ACCOUNT BASE AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT OF OUR EXISTING RETAIL & TRADE ACCOUNTS ACROSS SCOTLAND.
THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE PROMOTING & SELLING PRODUCTS AS WELL AS DEALING WITH A WIDE RANGE OF SUPPLY & SERVICE ENQUIRIES FROM OUR CUSTOMERS. REGULAR CONTACT & SUPPORT FROM HEAD OFFICE WILL BE REQUIRED TO NEGOTIATE THE BEST DEALS FOR THE RETAILER IN TERMS OF DISPLAYS / MERCHNDISING POINT OF SALE MATERIALS & PRICING.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
1. A PROVEN SALES PERSON WHO HAS IDEALLY SOLD A PRODUCT ON BEHALF OF A MANUFACTURER OR SUPPLIER TO RETAIL OR THE TRADE.
2. A CANDIDATE WHO IS KEEN TO LEARN & HAS THE DRIVE & ABILITY TO BUILD BUSINESS.
3. A CANDIDATE WHO HAS HAD HANDS ON EXPERIENCE OF ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT WITH RETAIL OR TRADE ACCOUNTS & HAS BEN INVOLVED WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:
NEGOTIATING WITH RETAIL OWNERS / MANAGERS
PROVIDING PRODUCT & BUSINESS DEMONSTRATIONS
WORKING WITH MERCHANDISING MATERIALS & DISPLAYS
PROVIDING MARKETING & SALES LITERATURE
HANDLING TRADE & RETAIL PRICING
PROMOTING NEW PRODUCTS
RUNNING IN STORE PROMOTIONS & OFFERS
PROVIDING PRODUCT TRAINING & DEVELOPING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS
JOURNEY / ACCOUNT PLANNING
SALES PLANNING & HITTING SALES TARGETS
PROSPECTING & DEVELOPING NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
THIS ROLE WILL MANAGE ACCOUNTS ACROSS THE WHOLE OF SCOTLAND SO CANDIDATES CAN LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE MAIN BELT.
