An exciting opportunity has arisen in Platform Solutions, Operations business area, to occupy the role of Technical Supply Chain Lead.
The Technical Supply Chain Lead will manage multiple complex manufacturing supply projects. They will act as a key interface with our Suppliers and the key technical and Programme Stakeholders to understand capability, process issues and solve technology problems within our Supply chain. They will co-ordinate reviews on new designs, ensuring that the designs are producible within manufacturing capabilities and assure accomplishment of project goals through the efficient/effective utilization of key resources. This role is based in Rochester Kent.
As a Technical Supply Chain Lead your main responsibilities will involve:
Review new designs whilst in development phase to prevent any technical challenges before going in to production.
Provide technical leadership to supply chain and be the bridge between supply chain and engineering.
Utilize lean and six sigma techniques to improve supplier performance in areas of quality, cost, cycle time, and delivery.
May lead the subcontract management team in the identification, analysis and resolution of financial, technical, quality, contractual and performance issues involving the subcontractor(s).
Developing, maintaining, improving and enhancing manufacturing processes, quality, test and supply chain plans/procedures, documentation of processes.
Utilize six sigma and/or statistical tools such as SPC, DOE and Cpk to establish robust process capabilities for manufacturing processes.
As a Technical Supply Chain Lead your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
Process improvement facilitation skills/Six Sigma Training.
Able to influence effectively at a senior level.
Able to identify a problem, obstacle, or opportunity and takes action in light of this identification to address current or future problems or opportunities
Substantial experience with lean enterprise tools and techniques
Builds and/or maintains friendly, reciprocal, and warm relationships with networks of people who may be able to assist in business.
Familiarity with Quality Management System standards and auditing.
Familiarity with product lifecycle phases and management.
Effective cross-functional leadership skills.
