We’re the leading national body focused on the policy and practice that relates to young people making the transition from care. Our aim is to help all care leavers achieve their full potential.
Playing an important part in developing our policy, as well as our advice and information functions, as Policy Officer you will:
Monitor, identify and analyse evidence and key issues relating to young people moving from care
Help develop Catch22 NCAS public policy positions
Deliver policy support to the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum
Write articles, policy briefings and reports, as well as ebulletins and content for our website
A background in public policy, with experience in leaving care or a related social policy field
Experience of writing and producing communication tools such as newsletters and websites
The ability to analyse and communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences
The interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with a variety of people
Proven project management skills
If you’ve got the skills we’re looking for, this is a great opportunity to help make a real difference to families and young people in need of support.
A forward-looking social business, Catch22 has over two hundred years’ experience of providing services that help people in tough situations to turn their lives around. Our programmes help those we work with to steer clear of crime or substance misuse, do the best they can in school or college and develop skills for work, live independently on leaving care or custody, gain new skills and confidence as parents, and play a full part in their community.
Closing date: 9 April 2013
Interviews will be held in London on 17 April 2013
