Are you an experienced Environmental Manager seeking a contract? This is an ideal opportunitity to work on a 12 month contract on a Nuclear site based at Hinkley, Bridgewater. Bristol, Somerset
Your key responsible will include:
Developing and maintaining the arrangements for compliance with environmental statutory and Company requirements including non-RSA waste regulations.
Provide authoritative advice on environmental issues.
Deputising for the relevant Section Head.
Production and maintenance of the consent under the Environmental Impact (EIAD) regulations, including environmental impact assessments.
Maintenance of ISO 14001 certification as appropriate.
Maintenance of the required regulatory approvals as appropriate.
Develop and manage the Site Improvement Plan for environmental management.
Advice and guidance on the Site arrangements for environmental management.
Review and audit of site performance in environmental management.
Supporting the Site and Project implementation of environmental & waste arrangements.
Supporting the management of land contamination plans as required.
Carry out team supervision or project management activities as required.
Assisting with managing the relevant aspects of the Detail Volume, SPI/CPI, and commercial and financial aspects as required.
Delivering relevant Life time plan activities to time and cost.
The post holder may be required to be a member of, and participate in, the Site Emergency Scheme subject to any fitness standards required.
Comply with the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments. Support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety Environment and Quality on Site.
As a customer-focused individual, the post holder will be expected to support delivery within his or her range of skills, knowledge, experience and competence.
Contribute to the effective development and delivery of training within own area of specialism
