Sussex Police is looking for a receptionist for a fixed term contract working for the Specialist Crime Command. The role is 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and is based at Sussex House, in Hollingbury Brighton. The contract is until 31/03/2015
You will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the Specialist Crime Command (SCC). Your responsibilities will include dealing with all deliveries, visitor parking requests, contractors and visitors to the site including those from other forces as well as members of the public. Your additional responsibilities include providing some administrative support for SCC including travel and accommodation bookings.
Skills & Experience
You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to work well under minimal supervision. You will be able to multitask, dealing with several conflicting demands at once, some with very short timescales. The successful applicant will need to be able to prioritise their workload and manage several tasks with varying deadlines whilst simultaneously assisting visitors. You will be largely self sufficient, and will experience a workflow that ebbs and flows. Being able to respond to the busy times and remain proactive at other times is essential.
