Regional Retail Manager (Sales Manager) - The Vacancy


Manage a team of Retail Energy Experts to ensure sales performance targets are achieved across a balanced scorecard through coaching and effective management and leadership of people.

Assess, recruit and manage a team of Retail Energy Experts to ensure performance targets are exceeded through the effective management of people.

The RRM must ensure that the consultative sales approach is fully embedded within their team.

Actively encourage and build relationships with the Business Units, key stakeholders and external resources.

Deliver exceptional customer service by taking a key role in the end to end acquisition process from point of sale through to the customers’ first bill.

Identify and implement actions that deliver quality improvements, working with central teams and using data and information available; seeking timely resolution to any customer complaints relating to sales and taking action to reduce the number of complaints.

Drive sales acquisition through the Retail Energy Experts performance and the use of incentives and management information/data; ensuring the Retail Energy Experts delivers additional products as required.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders, specifically with the retail partner.

Responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of team members.

Ensure Retail Sales are compliant with internal and external standards, Industry obligations and licensing conditions. E.g. AES code of practice, Health and Safety, and Energysure.

Available to support, manage and coach their teams during store working time (10am - 8pm), including some weekends

Regional Retail Manager (Sales Manager) - The Person:
The Regional Retail Manager (Sales Manager) must possess the following skills. This must be clearly highlighted on your CV with achievements:

A sales manager / retail manager within a retail environment with proven experience of leading teams across multiple sites.

Track record of increasing sales and exceeding revenue targets within a complex retail business (customer facing).

Able to demonstrate an abundance of; business drive, career ambition and a focus to deliver results above and beyond the call of your day-to-day position.

Experience of adding real value to the business (P&L growth); experienced at influencing and engaging diversely spread teams, proven engagement of operational and commercial leaders.

Ability to juggle conflicting demands and deliver work on-time every time to the highest possible standards to create a world-class operational and change team.
