Leading, global, publishing company looking for a Payroll Manager to join the expanding finance team. Reporting directly into the Finacial Director, the successful candidate will manage a Payroill team of 6 and will manage a payroll of over 3000 employees.

Ensure all staff on the payroll are paid correctly and on time each month with no errors or exceptions
Ensure efficient transaction processing of payroll in line with company policies and procedures,
Manage the payroll team to maximise their performance
Ensure all payroll processing complies with PAYE and other relevant legislation
Produce monthly KPI report with commentary in line with agreed timetables
Ensure all month end, quarter end and year end procedures are completed in line with the agreed timetables
Take ownership of relevant Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in the selection, development and implementation of new finance-related systems
Ensure all statutory returns (P60s, P11Ds, P45, P30s) are supplied to HMRC and employees as appropriate on a timely basis
Ensure budget holders are provided each month with a detailed report by cost element by employee
Pay over employee deduction to relevant bodies (unions, pension providers etc. ) on a timely basis each month

Solid Payroll Management experience
Excellent knowledge of Oracle Financials
Solid experience of managing staff
Experience of manging payrolls in excess of 2000 staff
Technical competence in Microsoft Office systems e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Experience of shared service centre approaches, cultures and methodologies
Can do attitude
