Organisation: Energy Sector

Mode of Employment: Full time only

Siemens are recruiting for a Quality Manager for its newly acquired leader in Tidal Energy, Marine Current Turbines. MCT is a progressive company that provides a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the rapidly evolving tidal stream energy industry.

Building on the success of SeaGen, the world’s leading tidal stream turbine, which is registered as a UK power station, selling electricity into the National Grid, MCT is embarking on the next development phase, the challenge of spearheading the technology for deployment into commercial tidal farms.

The Quality Manager will have full responsibility of MCT’s Quality systems and their application across the growing business processes. A phased integration to align the MCT system to achieve Siemens compliance will be a high priority. Achieving third party accreditation of our products is a key objective in the MCT business plan, to establish a high customer confidence in our product within the Tidal Turbine industry and maintain our market lead. The plan involves the timely delivery of initial farms to meet a challenging timetable, instigated by the UK Government’s renewable energy policy. A phased capital cost reduction has been anticipated for future farms to offset reductions in technology development incentives. Our customer solution will be delivered through a combination of strategic partnering arrangements for key components and services and the development of our core competency manufacturing and assembly facilities.

You will be responsible for all Strategic & Tactical Quality processes and activities for MCT, establishing the secure integration into Siemens AG.
