The University of Sussex Housing Office is seeking a friendly and organised person to be one of our Housing Assistants / Team Secretaries, providing secretarial and administrative support to the Housing Office team. You will take a coordinator role in the efficient and accurate provision of property references about our students as requested by letting agents and landlords.
You will also be responsible for helping to manage the diary of the Housing Services Manager and other managers in the team, including scheduling, servicing and organising meetings from internal and external visitors, together with inputting information into our bespoke housing application and allocation software, StarRez, for which training and support will be provided.
You will need to have a good standard of education, together with excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills. Duties will include providing front-line customer reception service on a rota basis, and responding to enquiries via telephone, social media and email, together with organising and typing up minutes from meetings, ordering stationery, maintaining documents, filing and assisting with the production of written information.
You will join a friendly and committed team of housing professionals at a time of growth and investment in our housing portfolio of over 5,030 bed-spaces in residences on our Falmer campus and across the city.
