You'll be naturally outgoing, eternally optimistic and have no problem striking up conversations and building solid relationships that establish trust and drive sales. To us, it's not important that you've never worked in this industry or type of role before. What matters is that you've been through the process of buying a big-ticket home improvement item and can relate your experiences of using your kitchen and bathroom.
So what does a Wickes Home Designer do?
The most important thing you'll do is listen to our customers, using your questioning skills to fully understand their wants and needs. You'll share their excitement, inspire them by talking passionately about the things they dream of and use the knowledge you have gained about them to make considered suggestions, demonstrating relevant kitchen and bathroom products and innovative design solutions.
You will be totally customer focused, whether it's during the first meeting in store, the second in the customer's home or the final meeting where your presentation brings the customer's dream Kitchen or Bathroom to life. Taking time to understand your customer will allow you to create a truly inspirational design that ticks all the boxes. The only thing left to do now is explain the various payment options Wickes offers, ensuring beautiful, practical design is affordable to all.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a solid sales background gained within the kitchen or bathroom design industry, and you must have a proven track record of achievement in a customer facing and target driven environment. You will have strong attention to detail, be commercially aware and have the ability to generate new customer relationships and build those relationships to proactively secure sales. It is also essential that you hold a valid UK Driving Licence so you can visit customers in their homes to confirm measurements as required.
