Routine maintenance activities
Service report write ups
Stock ordering & stock taking
Working relationships
Liaising with other engineers and clients to ensure smooth
operation of the production schedule
Closely working with the Operations Manager
Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors � Key Tasks �
Maintenance of fire alarm systems (conventional & addressable) - particularly Gent Vigilon, Kentec, Menvier, Protec
Maintenance of emergency lighting units
Maintenance of hose reels
Maintenance of portable fire extinguishers
Maintenance of smoke vents
Installation of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, hose reels and portable fire extinguishers
PAT testing
�Remedial maintenance work (replace & repair)
Fault finding
Responding to call outs
Completing service reports
Dealing with subcontractors
Job Requirements
Attending training courses
Client liason
Keeping the company vehicles in a clean state
Work away from home when required (1 per month min.)
Core skills
16th or 17th Edition IEE Regulations
Have an existing understanding of specialised fire safety systems
