Working in conjunction with the Merchandise Manager and Planner, you will ensure the following key responsibilities are met:-
Supporting range and budget planning through the total offer planning.
Day-to-day management of all stock requirements including ordering, critical path, inbound planning, forecast against actual and intake scheduling through in house systems and WSSI.
Ensuring up-to-date knowledge on all forthcoming Offers, to ensure that the best products are available for selection, and to advise which products to avoid in order to optimise sales, profitability, service and manage potential dormancy risk.
Managing the day to day optimisation of stock performance in relation to service, sales and profit and providing a weekly review of core line cover to Buyer, Merchandise Manager and Merchandise Planner.
Collating the weekly KPI reports (Out of stock, To Follow) and weekly initial order in/out reports for the Buyer, Merchandise Manager and Merchandise Planner.
Supplier management, in particular, highlighting, reporting and making recommendations regarding all aspects of supplier performance.
Using the MIS system ‘Flag’ reports to manage the day-to-day workload of the merchandise requirement and monitor the key performance measures.
Assisting, where workload dictates, with any necessary data entry, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Allocation of stocks across our high street store network to maximise profitability and sales in all branches.
We are looking for someone with a background in either home shopping, internet or retail and who has merchandising experience; who has a strong commercial awareness with the ability to achieve results. Working across the merchandise department, the successful candidate will be numerate and highly organised, used to meeting deadlines in a busy and demanding environment. The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels is essential.
