Rowan Village is looking for someone with great leadership skills to join their scheme based in Stoke on Trent. You will be employed on a part time, permanent contract working on a rolling rota with three other senior staff.
Rowan Village provides individual apartments for older adults who are able to live on their own but may have some personal support or care needs.
The essence of this role is to provide leadership and senior support to members of staff including carrying out spot checks and supervisions. You will be mentoring, coordinating, and monitoring the quality of care provided by staff, highlighting any skills gaps/training needs. This is to ensure all staff have the necessary skills required to perform their role at the highest possible standard.
There is a lot of paperwork involved including accident reporting, managing staff rotas and annual leave, covering sickness, checking and signing staff time sheets ready for the deputy manager. You will need to be accurate and precise with outstanding communication skills. Being office based, you will be deploying staff and responding to any emergencies that may arise calmly and efficiently.
This role is a great stepping stone for anyone who is looking to progress their career in this field as you will have the necessary skills to apply for any Team Leader/Manager roles which may arise in the future.
The successful applicants will possess excellent leadership skills in order to manage and coordinate staff. Line Management experience is essential with an extensive knowledge of care including moving and handling techniques.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and approachable individuals, who will bring out the best from the staff. The earliest start is 9:00am and the latest finish is 10:00pm, therefore you must be flexible and also willing to work weekends and bank holidays.
