Job Purpose
Manage the delivery of replacement engineering activities, ensuring that all works are performed in accordance with safety, technical and legislative policies and procedures. Produce detailed method statements and designs for replacement work and to undertake the works in a safe, cost effective and technically efficient manner. Managing the delivery teams and Supervisors.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities

Planning and management of assigned replacement projects, delivering high productivity in a safe and efficient manner. Operating within the appropriate Safety Management Systems, SCO Procedures and current legislation.

Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation (e.g. NRSWA) and that all operational staff have the appropriate competencies to undertake works.

Ensure that the project is appropriately assessed, designed, planned, resourced and scheduled in a timely and cost effective manner.

Monitoring performance to ensure that all objectives are met and problems are anticipated and resolved.

Leading by example and, in conjunction with the SHEQ Management Team, ensure a proactive safety culture and zero tolerance for accidents and self-inflicted incidents at all levels of operation.

Undertake assessments of work in progress to ensure compliance with best practice and all policies and procedures, providing technical advice and guidance where necessary.

Encourage and integrate innovation and cost-effective working methods.

In conjunction with the Alliance Management team, take responsibility for meeting agreed business performance targets, controls and operating costs; achieving investment plans, managing risk effectively and delivering all agreed outputs, within the agreed economic and safety regulatory framework.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required

Chartered Engineer with several years experience at management level. However, exceptional candidates who have several years experience and hold Incorporated Engineer status may also be considered. It is important that the post holder is seen to be a professional engineer that external bodies (e.g. HSE) and external partners can rely upon and trust.

Commercial / business qualification or experience.

Work Based Skills / Competencies:
