LID Publishing UK is a recently established subsidiary of LID Editorial Empresarial, an established publisher of business books in Spain with other subsidiaries in Mexico, the USA and Argentina. LID Editorial has a highly successful speaker bureau, an editorial board of exceptional calibre and a large number of blue-chip institutional clients.
We are now seeking a highly motivated sales professional to head up our business development and replicate the success achieved in Spain. The ideal candidate will have proven success selling in a B2B environment; have excellent communication and presentation skills when dealing with high-level managers and executives; be entrepreneurial, while at the same time able to meet deadlines and objectives; have excellent relationship building skills; have excellent IT and organisational skills; a strong interest in and knowledge of the world of business and finance; be self-motivated and a team-player. Reasonable fluency in Spanish would be an advantage but is not essential.
Responsibilities will include seeking sponsors for books/projects; seeking client companies and developing book-based projects to meet the client’s needs (eg, for corporate communication, branding, PR or education purposes and goals); selling current LID products directly to corporations and institutions; selling LID speakers to various conferences, organisations, institutions and other commercial speaking opportunities; being involved in developing and implementing the commercial strategy of LID Publishing and LID Speakers; working and collaborating with LID colleagues in our other countries of operation on international projects/clients.
This is a full-time position based in London.
