Java & .NET Software Developers(Ref: SE/103666)
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Software Developer with a proven track record in Java and/or .NET development. Our challenging project driven environment will involve open source architectures, standard compliances, iterative software prototyping and working to deadlines. This role will suit a talented individual with honesty/integrity, excellence and drive who is seeking to join an exciting, dynamic work environment.
Reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager , the successful applicant will be part of a large Software Development team responsible for the design and development of software solutions to support Seagate’s mission critical Wafer Fabrication facility in Londonderry/Derry, Northern Ireland.
Within this team you will apply your software development knowledge to work in collaboration with Business Analysts, Testers, Program Managers and other project team members, on the analysis and design through to the development and delivery of software applications. You’ll need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a progressive attitude, a solid customer focus and ability to transfer knowledge amongst your peers. You will also have excellent analytical and research skills and project skills.
Applicants must possess at least a 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline combined with at least one year’s relevant experience in Java and/or .NET application development. Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas: JEE hosting environments (WebLogic, Jboss), Adobe Flex, Adobe BlazeDS, JavaScript, TIBCO messaging, Oracle, Web Service development and Unix/Linux.
