Salary: Circa £13,000
We are currently looking for an Analytical Technician to join our Inorganic team.
The role is 37 Hours a week Monday to Friday, based on a 7.24 hour day subject to flexi-time
Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of samples, and must be able to work as part of a team and work to tight deadlines.
You will undertake the preparation of water and soil samples for instrumental techniques
You will be required to adhere to all relevant Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Knowledge of analytical chemistry or a basic understanding of chemistry would be useful, but not essential;
Good communication skills;
Good IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with colleagues;
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your own work;
Ability to deliver reliable quality and work output; The ability to work to specific deadlines with limited supervision;
Attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records;
Customer focused.
At least GCSE level C in 5 subjects including Science and Maths; A levels /ONC/HNC Science is preferable;
Previous laboratory based experience is preferable
