Assystem are currently recruiting a Resident CAD Engineer to work for our client, a leading 1st Tier automotive Interiors supplier to represent them at their clients site in Coventry initially on a 4 month contract. Tasks: - The successful candidate will take care that all relevant CAD engineering activities are fulfilled according to the programme requirements and in line with the corporate and department direction. - During audits and assessments from customers and external companies, the successful candidate will support the activities to reach an "A" classification regarding fulfilling DIN ISO 9000ff, VDA, QS9000 and TS 16949. - There is also the responsibility to use the in house management system and the customer requirements (e.g.
Ford). Primary Duties: - Conduct CAD engineering vehicle package studies and analyses - Document the package issues in an issues tracker and tracks the progress - Organise package reviews to get package issues resolutions and logs the progress in Meeting minutes - Makes design studies and Proposals - Analyse the Commodities Data for collisions and package issues and log the progress in Meeting minutes - Prepare the WERS Release Data - Make PPM Audits prior WERS submission - Manage the CAD Package release through WERS - Support the Design, Clay, Manufacturing, etc. reviews Knowledge & Skills: - Technical Engineer with previous experience - Previous experience in CAD Engineering in the Automotive field - CAD Knowledge: C3PNG/Catia V5, C3PClassic/IDEAS, TCe and TDM - Able for Teamwork and Knowledge of CAD environments - EDP knowledge (Microsoft office etc.) If you are interested in this position then please send a copy of your latest CV to careers@assystemuk.com for the attention of Stephanie Smith Assystem is a well established engineering services provider to UK industry, providing solutions to various engineering industries including; Aerospace, Gas Turbines, Automotive, Nuclear and Energy, Marine and Rail.
