Tooling Engineer is sought by our client who are an Automotive Tier 1 supplier with a range of high profile clients worldwide. With a history of steady development, they now require a Tooling Design Engineer to design precision tooling assemblies and systems.
Working at their production site in Coventry, your key duties will be:
Viewing and evaluation of drawings and models.
Liaison with suppliers (internal and external) to ensure components are cost-effectively manufactured to meet design requirements
Manufacturing support, working concurrently with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure design for manufacture
Responsibility for all tooling facets of a project from initial concepts through to production/completion
The successful Tooling Engineer will have previously worked within a mechanical design / tool design role preferably within the automotive industry. Experience of using 3D CAD software, preferably CATIA.
