You will be joining a well-established and experienced team in one of our larger offices. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Building Surveyor to be based in our well-established Basingstoke office - delivering technical services from building inspections to design solutions for a range of clients on projects of varying construction value.
You will be responsible for supporting a range of tasks in delivering projects to clients including:
• Feasibility studies and brief development
• Site Inspections to include surveys of buildings to assess condition and to recommend remedial works where appropriate
• Building Surveying Design and Specification
• Procurement and tender evaluation
• Site supervision
• Supervision of contractors during construction phase of projects, as well as contract administration
You will be degree educated in a building surveying related discipline; this must be accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). You will work towards gaining chartered status. Due to the nature of work, you will need to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and will also possess a full UK driving licence. You will be able to demonstrate relevant experience of working in a similar role at consultancy level.
