An exciting opportunity for a trainee chef to join a small family run hotel on the outskirts of Brighton. Working closely with an experienced chef you will be required to prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and dinners to hotel residents and customers undertaking general KP duties which include washing up, cleaning and maintaining equipment, food ordering, preparing veg, salads, cooking sauces, fish and meats etc. The owners are looking for a "hands on" reliable and committed trainee to develop their skills in the kitchen, are keen to learn and develop within the team.

Shifts 8am - 3pm and 6pm - 9pm

Adaptable for trainee - around 10am start.

As a trainee chef you will spend long hours, working in a hot environment.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is per hour from October 2013. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
