This is a multi-purpose role where you could be covering the salespoint one day, the gateline another and then move onto the Platforms. Based at one of our stations, you will be undertaking everything from proactively supporting our customers to clearing snow from the platforms. It is a safety critical role and is vital to help keeping our trains leaving the station on time. On a day to day basis you will be dispatching the trains, assisting customers and ensuring the platforms are clean and tidy.

Due to the shift times you must live in the local area and have available independent transport to ensure that you arrive at the station for the first shift and work your last shift as required as there may not always be a train service available.

To actively promote and sell Southern and other businesses products in a positive and professional manner by protecting existing revenue and generating new business and ensuring the safe running of trains. To provide an impartial and professional service to customers by total compliance of the Ticketing and Settlement Agreement, Station Access Agreement Commercial Standards. To deliver a high level of service to customers by pro-actively assisting our customers in their individual travel needs by providing advice and guidance to others as necessary. Participate in the safe running of the train service and a safe station environment by complying with the GE/RT 8000 Rule Book.
