As a Driver, you will be responsible for the collection of the stock from the off shore Warehouse and delivering to the store. By liaising with the Stock Movement team, you will be identifying any anomalies, checking queries and will then organise the deliveries in a timely manner.
With an organised and flexible working style you will have the ability to absorb information quickly and use your own initiative to prioritise your own workload. A logical approach and the ability to keep things tidy and in order is essential. You will need to have a friendly and approachable manner and you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also be numerate and computer literate.
If you obtained your driving licence prior to January 1997 and it is a group 1 licence, you will automatically have additional entitlement to category C1 & D1. However, If your licence was obtained after this date, you should have a group 2 licence (category C1 and D1) to entitle you to drive the 7.5 tonne vehicle and be CPC driver trained.
You will need to have a full UK clean driver’s license.
The role can involve working with heights, using ladders and heavy lifting.
This weekend position will include shifts working Saturday and/or Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the store during our busier periods including bank holidays.
