Overall Role Purpose
As part of the installation process, it is necessary on occasions to dig up the public foot path to lay cables to supply our Company service to customer homes. In order to disturb a public foot path, permission is required from the local council. Any works in the public highway (footway, carriageway or verge) that require breaking the surface (no matter how small) is defined as an excavation and a notice must be submitted prior to works commencing.
Failure to do so is illegal under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and substantial fines will apply. In order to protect Our Company from any fixed penalty notices and to ensure that a harmonious relationship flourishes between local authorities and Our Company a construction coordinator ensures compliance.

Key Accountabilities:
oTo open the necessary documentation to, allow our Engineers to disturb the public foot path.
oClose down the notice with in the time limit allowed giving clear details of the work carried out.
oOpen any Remedial Notices (defects) (This is where the disturbance to the footpath has not been complete to the original state before our works.) as directed by our Engineering Manager.
oRecording opening notices on spread sheet to ensure we are not late in closing which puts the company at risk of fines.
oUp date company data base systems with in time limits.
oDeal with Telephone enquires
oEnsure mail box is monitored and answered in a timely manner

oGood Telephone manner

Working Hours Full time :Monday To Friday on Shifts:
8am to 4 pm
11am To 7am
