Main purpose of role
To maintain service for all Oracle Databases and their environments. System resource monitoring, user/process loading and the collection of data for performance statistics reports. Hardware monitoring. Technically assess and recommend server/database/application upgrade paths and data migration requirements. To provide expert Oracle DBA consultancy outside to our client and commercial customers. To ensure software development is undertaken in accordance with the IT quality plan and procedures. To undertake efficient software development through the use of good design and implementation methodologies. Key Skills and Knowledge
HP-UX Tru64 Unix Extensive knowledge of the ORACLE Web based application development toolset (Forms 10g, Reports 10g). Experience of development and deployment using Oracle Fusion Middleware (11g). Experience
Oracle RDBMS. Oracle Application Server. UNIX system management and ORACLE DBA experience. Development of complex server side PL/SQL code for data input validation and data import / export. Experience of the ORACLE Web based application development toolset (Forms 10g, Reports 10g). Development of Web Applications utilising Oracle APEX. Security
