§
    Continually develop, refine and drive GPA portfolio risk management strategy and its constituent initiatives. §

    Pro-actively identify and champion improvements to the optimisation of risk and reward within the eCommerce space. §

    Building and maintenance of good working relationships with other risk teams across Barclaycard CRO and the Business & Commercial Bank. §

    Posses the ability to work in ambiguous situations and challenging environments, defining and driving the approach to maximise value at the earliest opportunity. §

    Regularly require the need to turn thoughts into action, starting with an abstract goal, idea or concept, understanding, developing and taking ownership for it. §

    All work must be undertaken with a clear line of site from the immediate objective to the clusters goals and objectives. §

    Close liaison with, GPA & COO to ensure risk policies & processes remain effective and efficient. §

    Drive improvements to GPA policy to maximise the risk and reward balance needed to ensure all cluster goals and targets are met. §

    Influence and provide direction for staff in a number of areas within Barclaycard Payment Acceptance & the wider Barclaycard function. §

    Help support and build and maintain strong links with Commercial banking risk teams to ensure consistency of approach and drive improved customer experience. §

    Ensure that CRO are appropriately represented in the relevant business-wide forums, helping to build relationships across the business.

    Essential §

    Highly analytical, with the drive and ambition to improve, develop and learn §

    Competent/Experienced user of base SAS (Knowledge of SQL an advantage) §

    Experienced user of MS Excel (VBA a bonus) §

    Solution orientated mindset, with the ability to take ownership from start to finish. §

    Strong communication skills – written, verbally and whilst presenting §

    Ability to draw concise and meaningful conclusions from large datasets

    Preferred §

    Experience in the payment acceptance sector §

    Knowledge of the eCommerce environment and associated risks §

    Knowledge of portfolio risk management techniques, including risk/reward principles. §

    Keen sense of risk and reward
