About the Job
This is a permanent role based in our office in central Leeds. As a Sas Programmer you will be responsible for providing SAS programming support in terms of SDTM datasets and reading in and reconciling electronic data. Other responsibilities and duties may include:
- Responsible for the production of SDTM datasets to the required specification.
- Produce Data Definition Documents (DDDs) and aCRF to the dataset.
- Read-in and reconcile electronic data with the CRF.
- Responsible for data transfer to and from clients in both production and developmental roles.
- Ensure that datasets are produced in a timely and accurate manner and are in accordance with defined standards.
- Answer QA audits with guidance from the Dataset Programmer II.
- Deputize for the Dataset Programmer II at Pre-lock Meetings on studies he/she has produced datasets for.
- Perform ad-hoc programming in response to unscheduled requests.
- Ensure all documentation is completed on work produced e.g. QC records
- May be required to help in the production of ADaM datasets.
- Liaise with study team to ensure targets and timelines are achieved.
- May be required to help in the SAS programming of TFLs
- Contribute at department meetings, presenting SAS coding items to the rest of the department.
About You
- Typically a BSc in a Computing, Mathematical or Statistical subject.
- Previous experience in Sas Programming would be highly beneficial
- An understanding of the fundamental principles of programming, program development and review
- Ideally experience in the preparation of Programming Plans, study set-up and review of study specific documents
- Develop problem solving skills and a willingness to learn and seek advice from senior programming staff and staff in related disciplines
- Good time management and organization skills, the ability to prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work.
- Effective communication skills; a co-operative and team orientated approach.
