My client, a global distributer in the scientific digital camera market, are currently seeking to recruit a Software Engineer to work from their Belfast site. You will assist with the design, development & support of Windows based software applications.
Responsibilities include:
- the design and implementation of software applications
- providing solutions to complex technical queries
- assisting the software development team with critical investigations
- improving and refining existing legacy applications
- writing software user guides
Essential criteria includes:
- a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering
- experience in using C++, C# or Java for Windows applications development
- knowledge of Object Orientated Programming
- strong diagnostic & problem solving skills
- ability to meet targets and work to deadlines
- knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle
- experience of working with databases such as MS SQL, Oracle or MySQL
- experience of developing unit tests
You must be a committed team player with strong communication skills. With a keen eye for detail, you will be driven and self-motivated, as well as organised, punctual & adaptable to change.
