Overhead Line/OHL Engineers

THE COMPANY

• My client is a engineering consultancy serving the transmission and distribution industry and its associated network operators

THE ROLE

On behalf of my client we are looking to recruit OHL personnel required for contract and permanent positions in Scotland, North West and Wales. The positions available include:

• Senior Authorised Persons
• Overhead Linesworkers
• Overhead Line Surveyors
• Trainees/Apprentices

EXPERIENCE

• Experience of working on OHL projects with UK DNOs
• Extensive experience of working with 11kv and 33kv
• Excellent knowledge of working practices, techniques, procedures and tool use
• Training in Health and Safety and Environmental Issues
• A Flexibility to work across the UK
• The self motivation and the ability to work under your own initiative

EDUCATIONAL & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

• Valid DNO Authorisation or within the last 2 years
• A recognised craft / technician apprenticeship
• A good standard of secondary education
• ONC / BTEC in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications
• Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

• Scottish Power Authorisation
• Electricity North West Authorisation
• Central Networks Authorisation
