This established and growing organisation specialising within the supply of measurement and test equipment are looking to recruit a Trainee Field Based Engineer to take on installation, calibration, validation and service of the organisations systems initially in their own workshops and after a qualifying period primarily be Field Based.

As Field Engineer you will be tasked with a range of tasks working on special purpose analysis, measurement and test equipment requiring an Engineer to be either Apprentice Trained within Electro mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering or recently Graduated within Chemical Engineering or related discipline. The work to be undertaken will initially be workshop based and involve a high degree of training within the client's specific equipment and market sector.

Typical tasks will be to undertake electro mechanical, electronic and bespoke software based fault finding using a range of hand tools, multi meter and specific system diagnosis software. Additional tasks will include equipment calibration and validation, i.e. performing a sequence of defined test procedures and recording the test results using standard samples.

For this position you will need to posses a mixture of skill sets qualities in addition to strong fault finding and repair skills which will include

> Methodical and thorough approach to your work

> Strong rapport communication skill sets, able to speak with people at all levels within multi national organisations

> Strong report writing skill sets legible hand writing

> The ability to understand applications such as sciences chemistry in which the clients systems are used

> Happy to cross sell consumables and complimentary products on the back of a service call
