The Role:
An opportunity has been created for an experienced Strategic Buyer to join a successful, fast-paced manufacturing business.

The role will involve:
Acting as a senior strategic purchaser, responsible for managing a number of commodities.
Working closely with design and project management teams to support NPI with both tactical and strategic sourcing for short and long-term requirements.
Able to identify and resolve supply issues in order for the business to meet demand.
Identify, select and assess suitable suppliers, including risk analysis
Strong negotiation of terms, supplier contracts and prices with international partners.

The Candidate:
Must be an experienced Strategic Buyer who has proven experience of buying parts from a range of UK and international suppliers.
Must have a strong commercial background including exposure to contract writing and risk analysis
Must have a sound technical capability and be able to translate data from complex drawings, models and bills of materials.
Strong computer literacy and MRP system experience is essential.
An engineering degree or background will offer a distinct advantage.
Location: South Wales
Salary: £25- £30K
