A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen for an Inventory Control Analyst to join our clients Logistics team in Desford. The successful applicant will ensure that customer orders are fulfilled and dealer, distribution centres and regional distribution centres trucks are able to depart at scheduled times. In addition they will investigate stock record discrepancies by analysing and interpreting various types of transaction audit trails in order to ensure correct record adjustments.

Additional Responsibilities for the Inventory Control Analyst will include (but are not limited to)
- Analyse computer calculated stock record adjustments resulting from edits and/or discrepancies detected by physical counts, and audit Parts Record Clerk adjustments
- Review computer generated reports of pending record adjustments
- Obtain count card, part inquiries, receipt and disbursement transaction activity, etc.;
- Consider stock check type, record and count quantities, and adjustment history;
- Investigate and analyse activity to determine the correct record adjustment;
- Investigate and analyse stock record inventory adjustments exceeding established dollar parameters prescribed for other assignments in section and authorize record adjustment;
- Answer numerous inquiries concerning status of stock, recent adjustments, discrepancies in adjustments, test counts pending, and loss prone counts, adjustment quantities and amounts, analyse trends and conduct audits to determine reason for recurrence and method to resolve;
- Assist employees by resolving problems encountered in performing data entry for the filling and shipment of dealer orders and non-revenue orders.
- Resolve complex problems as necessary to accurately document the movement of the material from point to point
- Perform various audits generated daily or weekly;
- Determine reasons for errors and prepare explanations so process changes can be considered to minimize future errors
Required Qualifications and Background for the Inventory Control Analyst
- Excellent PC Skills
- Two to four year college/university degree or prior job experience
- Gained relevant experience from lower level jobs in Availability & Inventory Management, Purchasing, Transportation & Engineering or Dealer Services, storeroom and/or manufacturing is highly desirable
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
