An international underwriting business has created a new opportunity within its Finance department for someone to join as an Accounts Administrator reporting to the Finance Operations Manager.
The jobholder will be expected to process claims payment runs in a timely manner ensuring appropriate authorisations, correct accounting for all claim related journal entries including cancelled cheques, inter-company transfers, investment and foreign exchange, account for all other cash movements e.g. bank charges, recharges, interest, prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis ensuring there are no reconciling transactions without good reason, be able to provide cover/assist other members of the Finance team (including Accounts Payable) where necessary and provide support to the Accounts supervisor and Finance managers.
Applicants must have previous experience working in an accounting function dealing with the posting of journals, experience of working with accounting systems, strong excel skills and a basic understanding of accounting rules. OnlineInsuranceJobs.co.uk - 12 months ago
