Provides engineering and maintenance support to the Glasgow site.
To work closely with Quality, Production and R&D departments to ensure that all relevant equipment is properly maintained, serviced and calibrated.
To ensure that all engineering work to support GMP/GLP activities are in compliance with the site quality policies.
To participate in client audits and answering technical enquiries
To assist with regulatory audits where appropriate.
To ensure that all calibrations are carried out , recorded and up to dateCertify compliance with relevant GMP/GLP requirements during the course of performing duties.
To ensure that all work is carried out within the company Health & Safety policy and in compliance with national legislation.
To complete and record PAT testing on all relevant electrical equipment.
To ensure all building services (gas, water, electricity) are in good order.
To carry out all building maintenance in a safe and effective manner
Any other task deemed appropriate by line management.
Engineering Qualification (HNC, HND, BSc. etc.) ONC/HNC Multi-skilled electrical bias
17 th edition wiring regulations
At least 3 years experience within a similar laboratory / GMP or similar environment,
Understanding of regulatory commitments, e.g. GMP, COSHH etc.
Computer literate in basic excel and word processing
The engineering role involves a high degree of variability of work, from conventional maintenance tasks through to servicing and operation of complex sterilisers and lyophilisers and therefore the engineering technician must be able to:
Effectively organise their own workload.
Adapt to changing priorities in workload without compromising quality.
Remain aware of workload levels and priorities within the site and communicate these to line management where necessary.
