Systems Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Operations, the successful candidate will have responsibility for design, implementation and maintenance of mission critical Server Infrastructure supporting the Springtown facility.

As a Systems Engineer at Seagate you will have responsibility for both Application and Database servers ensuring they provide the high levels of availability and performance required to support the site's manufacturing operations. You will have the opportunity to develop skills across a wide range of current technologies including UNIX, Microsoft Server and VMware leveraging best practice in service delivery.

Applicants must possess at least a 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline combined with at least one year's relevant experience. Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas: UNIX/Linux, Microsoft Server, Active Directory, X86 and RISC based systems.
