You’ll play a pivotal role at the heart of the team where it all begins. Our Advanced Product Creation function integrates research, basic design and vehicle architecture development. Responsible for creating the technical definition of a new vehicle programme, you’ll bring together the knowledge and talent of specialists and engineers across functions. You’ll compile a proposition which meets all the standards of luxury and innovation that make Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles some of the most desired on the world stage.

Creating and validating product cycle plan proposals through to a programme concept gateway, you’ll develop the concept proposals to a programme technical description. Liaising with engineering, quality, purchasing, marketing, attribute, manufacturing and finance departments, you’ll compile robust component assumptions, costs and weight data to develop the requirements and features chosen for future products. You’ll be expected to resolve technical conflicts, and to manage and communicate evolving information coming from that wide range of diverse functions. Candidate Profile
Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline, you demonstrate advanced knowledge of automotive systems and technical analysis. Ideally, you’ll have a track record of using value engineering in system and component design. Naturally, you’ll also demonstrate the business and commercial acumen necessary to ensure products meet levels of return on investment, whilst maintaining competitive market pricing.

Together with proven experience of leading teams to meet complex cross-functional objectives, you have excellent communication skills at all levels, and a tried and tested ability to deliver successful presentations to senior audiences. The ability to create and manage project plans is essential. IT literate, you are proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD viewing. Benefits
